Dear Parents and Students,
After 17 years, I have decided to retire from Lunch Moms so unfortunately the Lunch Moms program will not be operating this September. Please know that this is one of the hardest decision that I have ever made in my career. I have enjoyed every minute of it – although it was a lot of hard work, the gratification is worth it. I will miss seeing all the kids at the schools and the excitement they express when they talk to their friends about their order for the day. I will miss talking to the parents and getting to know them personally and realizing that we all have a lot in common – busy lives, busy kids and grateful to have a break from making lunches. I will miss my hardworking staff who gave me 110% every time I ask this of them.
What is next for me?
After this pandemic and the fires this Summer, I have realized life is short. I would like to mark off some bucket list items and buy the shoes. Enjoy my husband who supported me with this crazy idea of feeding hundreds of children in a day. Enjoy watching my children grow to become young adults themselves. Enjoy my friends and come to these crazy adventures with me. The possibility is endless and I am so excited to start it. (Really hoping this isn’t what mid life crisis entails – lol).
AGAIN, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the support you have given me for the last 17 years. I am proud of what I have accomplished with Lunch Moms and I will miss you all. Have a wonderful year and hoping for lots of activities such as sports, extra curricular activities at the schools.
Jenifer Greenan, The Lunch Moms.
